Six airports, four flights and five states later…

My plans for college are now settled and have been completely
finalized. Courses have been enrolled in, everyone has agreed, and I
will not either be taken far away from my family or be charged an
exorbitant amount of money. Nor will I have to spend five years getting
a four year degree at 22 units a semester. Isn’t that lovely?

Oops! I meant the opposite of all that.

“I arise in the morning torn between a desire to
improve the world and a
desire to enjoy the world.
This makes it hard to plan the day.”

  1. Everything is opposite? Plans? Well. Let me know. The White quote is a stroke of genius, and I want to scrawl it in big letters over my wall. You know what? That’s a great idea, Emily. My bookmark/rejection letter decor (and I continue to score bookmarks like the sticky fingered library patron I am) will be augmented by filling my wall with quoteable quotes from everything; Suess, Twain, Chesterton, Lewis, Switchfoot, Miss Snark… Genius, you.Talk to me sometime.

  2. I´d like to know what´s going on in your life, but I won´t be able to check for another three months. I leave in a few hours to go to Morocco, and I´m sure I will think of you a lot there. I just remember your story of your mom sitting you in the bars of the window when you were little. I wonder what kinds of things I´ll see. Come visit if you get a chance!
